Seedling C-92. SINGLE. Parentage: ‘Quitzin’ x ‘Liberia Maass’. An early herbaceous hybrid; buds are spectacularly large on extraordinarily robust and massive 39″ (100 cm) stems; the 8″ (20 cm) wide, flat, single flowers are a luminous medium pink with 4″ wide guards; central cluster of 4 showy grey-green carpels; dark pink stigmata; no fertility noted; the outstanding feature of this variety is the width of everything—stems, buds, flowers; here the vigorousness factor of advanced generation hybrids would seem to be at the extreme limit of the possible.
